Clutch Slave Cylinder - Boxster and Cayman (non S Versions)

The slave cylinder is the operating cylinder, located near the clutch mechanism, usually bolted to the clutch bellhousing.  If your car's clutch is not operating correctly, the clutch pedal is spongey but there are no external fluid leaks, the first step is to thoroughly clean the reservoir and flush the system with fresh hydraulic fluid and then bleed any air out of the system.

If the clutch is still not operating correctly, investigate to determine whether the fault lies with the slave cylinder, the master cylinder or a blockage in a flexible hose.
