Brake Pad Sensor - Front Left from 08/10 for R56 Cooper , R56 Cooper S, R56JCW

Brake pad sensors work by placing a length of conductor parallel to the pad surface.  When the pad wears beyond a certain point the conductor wears through, an electrical circuit is broken and a dashboard light comes on.  If you replace the brake pads before the warning light illuminates, you don't need to replace the pad sensor, but you may choose to do so anyway because old sensors are dirty and unpleasant to work with.
